Cheesy chicken bacon ranch dip
This dip was inspired by Mac wandering in the kitchen one day looking for food. We scrounged through the pantry and fridge and kind of threw this chicken bacon ranch dip together. And what’s not to like? We have cheese, bacon, and ranch dressing. It’s pretty similar to my loaded baked potato dip, but it has more oomph because of the chicken. If you have leftover rotisserie chicken, this is a great recipe to use that up. We tried this dip with spicy ranch crackers the first time. I also love it with Ritz chips. After playing with this recipe a few times, I’ve found that it’s great as an appetizer, as a snack, or even as an entree.
I love this chicken bacon ranch dip because it’s cheesy, creamy, and zesty. You can definitely add a bit more spice by using a spicy ranch dressing mix or adding a few splashes of hot sauce to the mix. I also go heavy on the ranch flavor and add a few more tablespoons of ranch dressing than the recipe calls for. It’s totally optional and up to you. I have a big Sam’s Club container of ranch dressing mix, so I always have plenty of hand if I want to add more. Keep in mind that ranch dressing mix is pretty salty, so you won’t want to add any salt.
