While we’re waiting for Mac’s deployment to end, I’ve been filling my time doing productive things like planning vacations. Some of these spots might be good long weekend trips (hello, the return of four day weekends).
Yellowstone National Park. I’ve been, Mac hasn’t. But we would not be camping. Just searching for bison and bears.
Napa Valley. We both love wine, and that’s reason enough.
Hawaii. We don’t think we’ll be able to go on a post-deployment vacation, but this would be a nice place to relax and spend time together.
Alaska. We’ve talked about taking a cruise from Seattle or Vancouver.
Dinosaur hunting in Wyoming. National Geographic is one of several companies that offers a ride-along on active dinosaur digs. How could would it be to help excavate dinosaurs?
Mount Rushmore. Mac’s never been, and I was last here in 1990.
Where would y’all add to this list?

Planning vacations is totally what gets military families through!! Even if leave is never approved and they never happen, just thinking about it helps! haha

My family did an Alaska cruise several years ago (summer 2012), and it was phenomenal. Highly recommend.
