Loaded baked potato dip

  • Author: Lisa
  • Total Time: 15 minutes
  • Yield: 12 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 16-ounce container of sour cream
  • 1 8-ounce package of shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 package of microwavable bacon
  • 1 packet of buttermilk ranch dressing mix
  • 1 packet of zesty Italian salad dressing mix
  • 1 bag of potato chips

Instructions

  1. Microwave bacon according to package instructions. Remove extra grease, cool, and crumble.
  2. In a large bowl, combine sour cream, cheese, ranch dressing mix, and half of the zesty Italian dressing mix. Taste.
  3. Add more Italian dressing if a spicier flavor is desired.
  4. Fold in cooled bacon.
  5. Transfer to serving container. Cover and chill at least 4 hours (overnight is best) until serving with potato chips or crackers.

Notes

  • You can use real bacon. I am lazy, so I do not.
  • This dip is really thick, so you’ll want a sturdy chip. Ruffles or Baked Lays work well.
  • Since it’s dairy based, throw it out at the end of your party. It will not keep.
