If you love brownies or brownie bites, these cherry cordial brownie bites are for you. You tuck a Hershey Kiss in brownie batter for a sweet and easy treat. The kisses melt just enough to add a delightful chewiness to the brownie and a very subtle cherry flavor. I personally love the cherry cordial Kisses, but Hershey’s doesn’t think cherry is a Valentine’s flavor. If you can’t find the cherry cordial flavor, I’m sure these would be just as tasty with raspberry or strawberry Kisses. They would also be great with the chocolate meltaway Kisses.
First up are your brownies. If you want, you can make brownie batter from scratch. I would recommend a fudgier recipe. I personally like to use a fudge brownie batter boxed mix. It also winds up being faster. Be sure to prepare the boxed mix according to its directions.

Mini muffin tins are the perfect size for the brownie bites. You can spray the tins really well with non-stick spray, or you can line the tins with cupcake liners. After some experimentation, I found that filling the tin cavities about two-thirds full gives you the best results. Press the kiss in most of the way (but not the whole way down). The top of the kiss should be even with or just above the level of the brownie batter. If you put the kiss in first, the cherry cordial brownie bites will stick to the bottom of the pan and fall apart. If you wait until the brownies are done, the kisses won’t melt enough into the bite. You can also top the cherry cordial brownie bites with festive sprinkles. Bake them for about 15 minutes until they’re ooey and gooey.

I bet these are delicious! I love making brownies with candy inside, and I LOVE those cherry kisses when I can find them! 🙂 My favorite brownie recipe is when I put cookie dough on the bottom, a Reese’s cup on top of that, and then pour brownie mixture on top and bake it all together… oh my gosh – heaven!
