The other night, I was on Alpha Gam’s website looking for some stuff. I then clicked on my profile to make sure all of my information was correct, and I saw this.
I updated my prefix preference to “Mrs.” when I changed my name months (years?) ago. As strange as it sounds, seeing my name listed as “Mrs. Lisa” weirds me out a it in a good, warm & fuzzy kind of way. Don’t get me wrong, I love Mac. I love being married to him and calling myself his wife. But being a Mrs. just sounds odd. I don’t think I am too young to be married (or was too young when we got married). Maybe it’s because I never really considered marriage as part of my future plans.
Who else had to adjust to being called Mrs.?

Me!! haha
We were already married for 2 years before I finally changed my name. After I changed it I actually felt kind of sad.

I have to admit I don’t get called Mrs. very often and we have been married over 11 years.

It definitely is an adjustment! Makes me feel so old…haha.

It took no adjustment time for me.. Especially with all of the Army people always calling me Mrs. FR

I’ve been married for almost 6 years and it’s still weird!

Hafta say being called a Mrs sorta freaks me out–I always catch myself looking around for mother in law! It does have a nice ring to it though even if it is a little weird at first.
Kate @ Another Clean Slate says
Do you like your mother in law? That might have something to do with it 😉

We got a piece of mail recently addressed to Mr & Mrs. without my first name. It’s a wedding invitation, so it’s a little expected. But still, it’s a little weird to get a piece of mail for me, where I’m not specifically mentioned by name. Especially since I’m going to be the one actually mailing the RSVP back!
