Once upon a time, my father served on the Pennsylvania Trade Commission for a few years. He was included on a trip to London when I was 16 going on 17. My mother and I decided to go with him, while my poor older sister had finals and to settle with a study abroad trip to Australia to study birds. For biology credit. I had to dissect frogs (and worms, sharks, fetal pigs) for biology credit.
I absolutely adored my very brief week in London and have been in love with the city ever since. I also take every opportunity to buy things with London on them. I spied this Lulu Guinness for JC Penney tote bag whilst shopping with the hubs, and he bought it for me as a Christmas present. We found a coordinating wallet and umbrella at the Penney’s near my parents (our store didn’t have them).
Or how about these London prints snagged at Ikea?
I’m still lusting after this gorgeous wall canvas, also from Ikea. But it’s just too big to put anywhere (that’s what she said).
Who else has themed décor in their house? What are your themes?

I love decorating my house with things that mean something! I love traveling too. I actually have royal themed guest room. I have royal purple colored walls, a really neat bedding set, and black and white photographs of London in white frames! I’ll have to send you some pictures.

I love the London theme. We don’t have any themes in the house, yet. Haha.

My room in my current apartment has a New York Yankees wall. It’s sort of embarrassing, but I’m a HUGE baseball fan! When I leave NYC, I’m pretty set on having our home office be NYC-themed as I’ll be leaving this great city.

Cute! I love travel themed decor. 🙂 I used to have a TON of Paris stuff, but now I just have a lot of handmade items that I bought in other countries like Haitian metal art and a beautiful Indian tapestry.
