Sunday Social

We’re showing the house today, so I’m in a last minute panic to clean (or hide) everything.

Sunday Social

Did you sleepwalk as a child? I did (do) sleep karate. I’m a serious kicker. I think it’s because my sister and I shared a bed when we went on vacation or to our grandparents’ house. I had to defend my territory.

Did you ever try to run away or sneak out of your house? I ran away like once a week. Running away was wondering around our very large neighborhood in Montgomery for several hours. My parents generally didn’t notice. My sister was more convincing in her runaway attempts. I recall her leaving a note and sneaking out her bedroom window (which was right next to the backyard fence).

Did you have any imaginary friends? Is the Pope Catholic? [BTW, I miss saying “is the Pope Polish?”] I was a weird, very imaginative kid. A favorite road trip pastime: I had an elaborate game where I competed against British and French teams to see who arrived at our destination first. For some reason, those silly Brits and Frogs always drove off the exit then back on again, and the Americans won every time. But I guess it helps when your competition is imaginary.

Did you ever go toilet papering? No. I was a good kid and clearly (see above) had no friends.

Did you ever sneak TV shows you weren’t allowed to watch? I’m probs still not allowed to watch MTV. I was a big fan of TRL back in the boy band heyday because I loved NSYNC and BSB’s music vids, and my parents worked full time. My sister and I used to watch the show “Undressed”  (a super raunchy teen soap also on MTV) when we were at our other grandparents’ house (and had a TV in our room). Laguna Beach when I was in high school.
