How do you measure a year?
A year ago today, Mac came from after a 367 day deployment to Afghanistan. Considering we went eight months from when he left to R&R, the four months to the end of his tour breezed by (we spent three months apart several times my senior year of college).

Huge ass thanks to me awkwardly standing over his stuff. |
It’s hard to believe that he’s been home for a whole year (granted, he’s been away for training and such for over a month total). I’m thankful for each day that we’ve had since he came home. Even last night when I took him dinner just so we could spend time together. Unfortunately, this also means that he can redeploy. Such is the life of an Army couple / family.
