The movers came Monday and packed up allll of our stuff. We were planning on them packing Monday and Tuesday then loading Wednesday for delivery on Thursday. Instead, they loaded Tuesday and will hopefully deliver tomorrow. They had quite a time packing the truck. Apparently, the truck was carrying another shipment in addition to ours. That other shipment took up a lot more space than they were expecting, so there was less room for our stuff. We checked out of our apartment and drove up to Falls Church yesterday.
Purrburger wasn’t too keen on the move. She was really stressed out with all the packing and removing items from the apartment. Her previous owner surrendered her due to a cancer diagnosis, and we’re thinking that her owner might have also moved before giving her up. But she seems to like how our new detergent smells? But she didn’t seem to mind the drive too much and even explored the car while I was driving.
We have decided to buy a new bed frame and a dresser for the room at Mac’s parents’ house. We’re planning to buy those before we pick up the extra boxes from our storage unit (once they arrive, of course).
Has anyone else moved twice in one year?
We will be moving for our second time this year, tomorrow! Glad the move has gone pretty smooth.
We did last year..1 cross country move for CCC and then a short 4 hour move. It’s definitely stressful.

Right before my husband joined the Navy we moved from Provo Utah to St. George then here to Virginia in less then a year. Not the funnest experience!
