Last night, Mac was on duty, so we really couldn’t make any plans. Being the good wife I am, I brought him dinner (okay, okay, it was KFC, but it still counts). He told me earlier in the week that we would be going out on a date tonight to our favorite Italian restaurant, Luigi’s. We shall see considering he’s still asleep.

For most couples, a date night might consist of dinner and a movie, maybe even an evening alone at a local hotel. We are not most couples. After dinner, we will be making a trip to Sam’s Club to buy bulk-pack chicken, among other things. We just really enjoy doing mundane errands together. It seems silly, but we won’t be the only ones spending on Saturday evening at Sam’s Club here in Fay. Occasionally, we spice things up and go to Harris Teeter or to the putt putt course.
What are you favorite date night ideas? Anything better than Sam’s Club?

We love to go bowling! That is always a go-to for a date night idea. š
I saw your comment about the lasik. Tricare does not cover any of it for spouses. The only thing I did not come out of pocket for was my eye drops/valium, I had those filled at Womack. I had my surgery done at Travers Lasik in Raleigh, they were amazing!

I love to run boring errands with my husband!!! So nice to do that sorta thing without the kids š Another great date night is a trip to the shooting range… and we love to go to the movies, but usually we don’t have time to get a meal before/after, so we grab a couple burritos from chipotle (or Moe’s) and sneak ’em in my giant purse š
