An old adage in military families is to never write addresses down in pen. I’ve been looking for a nice address book for literally years. The ones I’ve owned didn’t have large enough lines for my out of control handwriting, weren’t cute enough, or didn’t come with lots of extra refills. So I decided to make my own military friendly address book.
I found this amazingly adorable notebook at Michael’s. I then decided to create my own address pages. The letter dividers are Kraft paper card stock, and the actual address pages are white card stock. I had hoped to use the 5×7 white card stock cards, but this Michael’s was sold out (these are 8.5×11 pages divided in two). Just a friendly reminder that Michael’s offers a military discount with valid ID (and their app always has a 40% off one item coupon).
I created each template in Publisher and am highly disappointed that 26 isn’t evenly divisible by anything. And then I used a corner rounder on each of the letter dividers because I thought it would look better. If you’re feeling really crazy, you can type up each family card. Either way, just save the template and update when someone inevitably moves.
