- January ended with a batch of food poisoning, and February ended with a batch of the flu. I felt terrible a few weekends ago and headed to urgent care. One of my coworkers had walking pneumonia, so I was hoping it wasn’t that. Nope, just plain old Influenza Type A. So PSA: get your flu shot. I procrastinated, never got one, and caught the flu. I’ve been a big sluggish and tired, but I’m feeling better now. On the plus side, I’ve lost five pounds.
- Mac has orders! He matched with his first choice job, so we have official word where we’re moving this summer. I’ll be sharing where we’re moving shortly, but we’re both excited about our next home. It’s also hard to believe that our time in Kansas is almost over. This year has gone by pretty quickly. Mac is also pinning on major, so we’re having a promotion ceremony for him. And we’ve set up a trip to go house hunting.
- Spring travel is in full swing. I don’t travel too far, but I was in Colorado and Oklahoma earlier this week. I had a few hours of spare time in Tulsa, so I headed out to the Hard Rock Cafe (I collect the t-shirts). And I found the Blue Whale of Catoosa, an old Route 66 roadside attraction. I don’t always get time to explore when I travel, so this was a cool detour for me.
- Speaking of spring, I’m excited for the weather to warm up. Mac and I both have spring break in the next few weeks. I still have to work, whomp whomp. But I’ve been planning some weekend trips for us before we leave Kansas. I’m looking forward to warmer spring days and fun trips in the next few months.
- I also managed to find the chocolate marshmallow and Most Stuf Oreos. The chocolate marshmallow ones were really good. I like the chocolate Oreo filling, and the little marshmallow bits were nice. The Most Stuf Oreos are glorious. I think all Oreos should have this much filling.
What’s new with y’all? Any spring break plans?
