Fathead pizza dough

Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups of shredded, low-moisture mozzarella cheese
  • 2 ounces of cream cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 cup of almond flour
  • 1 tsp of garlic salt
  • 1 tsp of Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees. Add the mozzarella and the cream cheese to a microwave-safe bowl. Heat for 1-2 minutes until the cheese begins to melt. Stir. Reheat for another 1-2 minutes until the mixture is smooth.
  2. Stir in the almond flour, egg, and seasonings and combine. The dough will be sticky.
  3. Wet your clean hands and knead the dough together until it becomes smooth and combined. You may need to wet your hands a few times.
  4. Press the dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. This recipe should stretch to a 12-15 inch pizza.
  5. Bake for 6-7 minutes until lightly browned. Remove from the oven. Top with tomato sauce, cheese, and your favorite pizza toppings. Return to the oven for another 8-10 minutes

Notes

  • You will probably need to experiment with cooking times on your microwave. I have found that heating for two minutes, stirring, then heating for another two minutes works best on my microwave. You may need more or less time.
