The University of Oxford

The whole point of our trip was to learn more about European higher education in order to compare and contrast it with our American options. Our English institution was the University of Oxford, the oldest English university. I was extremely excited to visit this campus and honestly could have spent our whole trip there. We did a tour of the campus with a turn in New College, met with a panel of university representatives, and ate lunch in the Brasenose College dining hall (where I tried curry for the first time). Each college operates mostly independently of the others, so each charges a separate admission fee.

I’ll cover some highlights from the village of Oxford in a separate post.
