The year of exhaustion
2016 was a crazy year. I planned to kick off 2017 with a peppy post about our chaotic-as-always holidays, but then my grandfather died. We came home on a Sunday, and I was back on a plane to Pennsylvania on Friday, delayed by a blizzard that thankfully didn’t materialize on our side of the Front Range. I’ve been a bit introspective since then and was thinking about just how crazy 2016 actually was.
In 2016, I:
- Adopted another cat
- Took six of my ten grad classes
- Started and finished my practicum (and am continuing on there this semester)
- Began teaching Sunday School at church
- Continued as a committee chair for Junior League
- Attended four weddings and the largest football game ever
- Donated my hair again
- Found out that we will be moving this summer (Surprise! We don’t know where or when)
- Hosted Thanksgiving
This year was mentally and physically exhausting. 2016 seemed like it went by really quickly and dragged on forever. Overall, it was a good year, and I’m looking forward to the many adventures 2017 has in store.
