Considering it snowed 3 inches last night, I don’t know if spring is fully here in Colorado.
I’m a big fan of spring cleaning, if only because it signals the fresh start of a new season and I wind up with a clean house. I’m not a fan of the actual cleaning aspect. My main goal during my cleaning binges is to reduce: I purge papers, the closets, and the fridge. Mac has been occupied with a field problem for the last two weeks, so I’ve trying to chip away at my honey-do list. This weekend, I want to finish the remaining curtains (I have four left) and knock out all of the filing. Once that’s done, just the normal cleaning will be left, and my house will be clean and ready for spring!
What is your spring cleaning routine?

Spring cleaning makes me happy ๐ I would also add changing air filters (especially for people like me with terrible allergies), taking apart the vacuum cleaner and cleaning the parts, wiping down the windows, and flipping the mattress. Call me old fashioned ๐

You reminded me to clean the vacuum, haha. Thanks!

I am starting most of my spring cleaning tomorrow and I can’t wait!

I’m glad I’m not the only excited at the idea of having a clean house!

I’ve been in spring cleaning mode too. It always means that some stuff gets re-organized. I am an organization freak! I can’t wait to see your tour pictures!
Lisa says
I love having things organized, but the actual process is really boring. I need to move a TV into my office to help me finish off that room.

I really don’t have a routine. If something starts to look blah, I clean it. I do the bathrooms weekly though, because they get gross. And I usually have to vacuum daily because of the kids and hairy cat.
Lisa says
If only bathrooms cleaned themselves, haha. We have a long-haired cat, and I wind up having to dust more than vacuum because of her. So much hair.

Cute notepad!! Our office area definitely needs some work and would like to wash all of our linens, too. My spring cleaning to do list goes like this: file paperwork and discard unneeded bills/papers, finish going through our closets and sell/giveaway anything we haven’t worn in a while, finish planting herb garden, tidy up garage and figure out the best bug/spider/mosquito spray for our yard.

Thanks! It’s from a craft store (either Michael’s or Joann). Paperwork is my least favorite cleaning task because it just takes so long.
