I saw a rebate for a Krusteaz flatbread mix on my Ibotta app and grabbed it to try. After some brainstorming with what was in my pantry, I decided to whip up a chicken Alfredo flatbread. If you can’t find the flatbread mix, you can substitute pizza dough (either homemade or refrigerated). I would add a few teaspoons of Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and onion powder if you decide to use pizza dough. I opted for no additional seasoning because I used the garlic and onion version of the flatbread mix. You could also get really wild and make a focaccia bread from scratch. I’m also wondering how delicious this flatbread would taste with some roasted garlic. I may try making another chicken Alfredo flatbread and spread some smashed roasted garlic cloves on the bread before I top it.
The chicken Alfredo flatbread comes together pretty quickly because you can use pre-made ingredients. If you want, you can make your own Alfredo sauce or roast your own chicken. If you’re short on time or need to clean out the pantry and freezer, you can absolutely use jarred sauce and frozen chicken. It’s also pretty adaptable to whatever ingredients you have on hand. If you want to swap the fresh tomatoes for canned, be sure to drain them really well.
