“Your first 10,000 photographs are your worst” – Henri Cartier-Bresson
As I’ve gotten older, I’ve discovered how much I love photography. Back in college, I was always the one with camera in hand at every party. I loved being able to capture fun moments and memories. My new interest is landscape photography. I’ve enjoyed photographing battlefields, national parks, and local sites. My in-laws generously gifted me a DSLR last year for my birthday, and it’s been a learning curve to use it. I bought the camera for dummies book and a pocket shortcut guide. But, inevitably, a lot I’ve learned has been through trial and error. Living at a higher elevation means more light, and I’m experimenting with finding the right settings.
How did y’all learn to use your cameras?

I love landscape, but not my own..! I actually took a photo class in high school. It was so easy to learn my DSLR when I got it, and all the stuff I learned back then is finally starting to make sense.

Beautiful pictures! When I started really getting interested in photography I interned for a professional photographer friends and learned so much….but that was nearly a decade ago and I already feel like I need to start all over, so much as improved!
