I am one of those people who matches my accessories to my outerwear and outfits. Part of this is to ensure that I have a enough scarves, gloves, and hats to rotate throughout winter. “But didn’t you spend 4 winters in North Carolina and Georgia?” Yes, yes, I did. It’s funny how quickly I adjust to my local climate because 50 degrees is cold enough to warrant winter coats in Augusta.
My main winter coat is a red and plaid pea coat from my days at le Bon Ton which I pair with a red scarf and black mittens.
Over the past year, I added two more coats. The plaid coat isn’t too heavy, so my mom gifted me a thicker winter coat last year for Christmas. I found this green pea coat at Macy’s. I just need to find a coordinating scarf. The blanket scarf has taken over every fashion blog lately, and Kate posted this super cute (Alpha Gam colored, to boot) one.
I also found this royal blue topper at Ann Taylor. I found these amazingly adorable black driving gloves with a little bow trim with the green coat, and they look great with the blue. I love the idea of pairing the bow gloves with a patterned black scarf.
Do y’all match your outerwear?

I’m so glad I’m not the only person who does this! Boyfriend laughs at me when I get cold and it’s “only 50 degrees.” I always make sure my scarves and gloves coordinate with my winter coat(s). Not much of a hat/beanie person, but I do love a good set of 180s ear bands or those really cute crocheted head bands with flowers on them.

I do try to match my outwear, it would drive me crazy otherwise. However, it is still too warm here for coats. š

I match mine too. I think it is pretty normal for women.
