Junior League had a membership open house over the weekend, so I volunteered to make this sassy sausage dip from our League cookbook. It’s a great tailgating dip and would be great for cold weather games. I paired it with corn and blue corn tortilla chips. Feel free to serve this dip with any of your favorite dippers.
I call this recipe sassy sausage dip. I’ve seen a lot of other name for it like crack dip or just cream cheese sausage dip. Whatever you call, it’s a delicious appetizer. The dip is creamy, spicy, and full of bursts of flavor. You can either use a spicy bulk sausage or use mild bulk sausage then add hot sauce for an extra kick. If you like really spicy food, you can add hot sauce to the spicy sausage. Once the sausage is browned, you can make the dip in the microwave or on the stovetop. You can even make this in one container if you buy pre-cooked sausage crumbles.

- Hot sauce
- 2 bags of tortilla chips
Instructions

- Microwave directions: Combine sausage, cream cheese, and Rotel tomatoes in a microwave-safe dish. Microwave on high for 4 minutes, stopping each minute and stirring until smooth. Add hot sauce to taste.
