110 years ago, eleven exceptional women joined together for the first initiation of Alpha Gamma Delta. I can only imagine this ceremony: the emotions, the first sharing of our ritual, and the enormous accomplishment of these Founders in creating a whole new sisterhood. If I could go back in time, this might be a day I would have to visit (and party with Grace Mosher “Mosh Pit” Harter, duh).
Alpha Gamma Delta has been an integral part of my life since January of 2007. It led me to my best friends and (somewhat indirectly) to Mac. I can never thank our Founders enough for the gift of sisterhood in Alpha Gamma Delta. Last night, the DC area alumnae club had a get together, and I was grateful to be introduced to more sisters (Jess over at Being Mrs. Beer is a chapter sister of mine, so we already knew each other). It was a wonderful reminder that sisterhood isn’t just for four years, but for life.

Founder’s Day Celebrations are always the BEST! We had a little luncheon for my sorority’s 119th Anniversary this year! Next year is going to be 120 and I am thinking we need to plan a big celebration!! It truly is amazing how a sisterhood can bring you together and help you to form some of the most amazing memories of your life!
