Bridal shower update

Leslie’s bridal shower is coming up quickly next month! Where does the time go? My plans for her shower were on my old computer that died, but luckily, I blogged about my ideas. Nothing makes you feel like a blogger until you’ve looked up an old post to find something, haha. Like I said, we’re doing a cooking theme because she and Adam love to cook.

My main project is to create themed centerpieces using the cookbooks I bought. Methinks a trip to some craft stores is necessary 🙂

The cooking theme somehow screamed “50s housewife” to me which I guess means primary colors and polka dots. Welcome to my mind. I bought the polka dot scrapbooking paper pack from Michael’s to make backgrounds for nametags and signs. I snagged some green polka dot cupcake liners from Home Goods to make the cupcake dress. And I found these adorable navy paper straws on Etsy.

We’re going to play a few games: guess the spice, guess the gadget, and the good housewife. The only other decision left is to pick favors.
