Yesterday, March 18, was my half-birthday. Today, March 19, I am officially closer to 30 than otherwise. Yikes. Honestly, I’m not in the midst of a quarter-life crisis and have no real qualms about hitting the big 3-0 (at this point in time). I think that aging is a wonderful thing that a lot of people never get to experience, so I hope to age gracefully. It’s just crazy to think that I am approaching 30. I remember being excited to turn 10 (to get my official DOD ID card), 16 (to get my learner’s permit), even 20 (to have evaded teen pregnancy. Goals are important.). When I was at my parents’ house, my sister and I were joking with our parents about the time we made them buy us the brand new “The Lion King” VHS so we could watch it while they had a party. That was, ummm, 1994? Kids born that same year are in college. COLLEGE.

This year I will be hitting my late twenties ( at least I think 27 counts for that). I’m not sure how I feel about it all! On an even sadder note, my ten year high school reunion is next year…where did the time go?

I’ll be 27 this year… I’m not looking forward to the next three years..
