The downhill slide to 30

Yesterday, March 18, was my half-birthday. Today, March 19, I am officially closer to 30 than otherwise. Yikes. Honestly, I’m not in the midst of a quarter-life crisis and have no real qualms about hitting the big 3-0 (at this point in time). I think that aging is a wonderful thing that a lot of people never get to experience, so I hope to age gracefully. It’s just crazy to think that I am approaching 30. I remember being excited to turn 10 (to get my official DOD ID card), 16 (to get my learner’s permit), even 20 (to have evaded teen pregnancy. Goals are important.). When I was at my parents’ house, my sister and I were joking with our parents about the time we made them buy us the brand new “The Lion King” VHS so we could watch it while they had a party. That was, ummm, 1994? Kids born that same year are in college. COLLEGE.
