Bridal shower ideas
As I mentioned a few months back, my sister is getting married next year. I get the wonderful task of planning her bridal shower, and, being my usual over-enthusiastic planning self, I have most of it down. And a fair amount of supplies purchased. The wedding is in July.
Since Leslie and Adam love to cook, we’re throwing them a kitchen-themed shower. Luckily, Adam’s sister (slash bridesmaid) is a professional chef, so the food prep decisions should be a little easier. We’re planning to hold the shower at our parents’ house which is literally about two miles from Adam’s parents’ house (the parentals live off the same highway).
Here are some invitation ideas. They’ll be blue, green, or yellow.

Some game ideas. The first is based on the 1950s article on how to be a good housewife. Someone reads the article then people try to remember the words. The second is guessing spices.

For décor, we’re sticking with the kitchen theme. I bought $5 cookbooks at AC Moore in Fayetteville (and used a coupon) and will be making centerpieces like these. They’ll also double as the game prizes.
And our menu.
– Finger sandwiches: chicken salad croissants, turkey and cheese with herbed spread wraps, pimento cheese on wheat
– Bruschetta
– Salad
– Waffle cone fruit cups
– Lemon bars
– Cupcakes
– Peach sangria
– Sparkling wine cocktail (we had a Sprite and Moscato berry punch at my shower. Yum).
What sort of bridal shower games do y’all like? What are your food suggestions?
