Sunday Social: fall

1. What is your favorite fall activity?
I love going to the pumpkin patch then carving the pumpkins. I hosted a wives’ coffee last fall for Mac’s old unit, and this was the activity I chose. Several of the wives thought it was a creative and unique idea.

Can you believe I carved this without a template? I’m an artist.

2. Do you follow a football team? If so, which one and why?
THE HOKIES. I love Virginia Tech so much that I decided to do my Masters degree there, too. I also follow the Denver Broncos because I lived in Colorado when I was younger.

3. What is something fun about fall in your area?
Hmm, I don’t actually know. I’m excited to explore the Augusta area some more now that it won’t be 90 degrees with 90% humidity every day. According to Southern Living, the Westobou Festival is an annual art / music / dance festival in October. I’m also trying to convince Mac that we should go apple picking.

4. What are your favorite fall staple outfits?
Well, surprisingly, yoga pants. I love my crew neck Virginia Tech sweatshirts. Perfect for layering for tailgating and football games. I also really want a pair of riding boots. Sadly, I have calves larger than most NFL linemen from years of dancing and soccer, so it’s hard to find ones large enough.

5. What things are you looking forward to most about this coming fall season?
Cooler weather, football, baseball playoffs!!! My birthday.

6. What is your favorite fall holiday? Tradition?
I love Thanksgiving. It’s a festive time for family and friends to gather. We don’t really have any traditions other than eating dinner. We tend to turn on whatever football game is on after we eat.
