Mac and I have been talking about getting a cat since we moved in together three years ago. Our original plan was to bring my cat from my parents’ house to North Carolina, but my brother-in-law is crazy and didn’t let us have a cat.
Three years later, my cat is pushing 18, and we didn’t think it was the greatest idea to move her 600 miles for six months then move again. Really don’t want to cause my cat’s death.
So this happened. We went to PetSmart last week for a bit of window shopping and decided to wait until our household goods arrived on this past Saturday. Sunday, we went over to Petco as another shelter was bringing in their kitties. And then we saw her and knew we had to give her a forever home.
Her name was Missy (which is a terrible name for a cat). We’re still torn as to what to call her. We’re thinking Bonnie, and we’ll get her a friend named Clyde. But at the moment, Mac is calling her Purrburger.
Omg, she is so precious! I love cats and I want one, but Andrew is allergic. 🙁
