Mac indulged me on our first wedding anniversary, so we attended St. Michael’s Church Sunday morning. I love historical churches (and bonus points for finding Anglican parishes!) and try to attend services when I can (like Easter service at THE Falls Church where George Washington went). We even partook in the church tour (more like an info session) afterwards.

We walked a few blocks down Meeting Street and happened across Eli’s Table for brunch. We ordered mimosas (though not bottomless because we were driving home) to celebrate the first year since our wedding.
The menu has a patriotic hilt, and each food is named after a person in American history. I gleefully dug into a plate of John Brown’s biscuits and gravy with a side of bacon while Mac turned to his brunch fave, Daniel Boone’s eggs Benedict.
Thoroughly stuffed, we headed back to the car and drove back to Fayetteville.
