As I mentioned, Mac and I moved downstairs to the master bedroom. We’ve done some major redecorating throughout the house but didn’t repaint any of the rooms. Here’s our Fayetteville home tour.
First up is our living room. We bought the couches last spring in the clearance section of the post furniture store. Our table set came from Bullard here in town. The bookshelves are a recent purchase from Ikea.
Next are the kitchen and dining room. We don’t have a traditional separate dining room, just an extension of the kitchen. The baker’s rack is by Paula Deen and from Bullard. The kitchen table is from Sam’s Club. The bar is a storage unit from Target. Now to keep our kitchen this clean forever.
It’s so weird living in a room with a full ceiling. We bought each piece of our bedroom set over several months when we moved here. Good thing we did because RoomStore (where we bought them) went out of business. We even put the mirror up because we’re not limited by the slanted ceilings like upstairs.
And how about a walk-in closet? All of our clothes fit in one place! We had been using both closets upstairs. Yeah, it’s not this clean anymore.
Our house has three full baths. We didn’t redo the upstairs bath; this was what we did when we moved in back in 2010.
We went with an actual theme in the small bath downstairs. Mac really wanted to showcase the pirate cat print we found on our honeymoon, so we opted for a beach-y theme. Yes, it’s a lot of tan, but we didn’t feel inclined to repaint a house that isn’t ours. Given the choice, I would paint this room a soft blue or gray.
Now to our master bath. I must say that this bathroom is quite larger and, consequently, a bigger pain in the ass to clean. We chose neutral towels, so we won’t have a problem reusing them when we move. I haven’t yet started finished the curtain.
We have two bedrooms downstairs and two bonus room upstairs.
Bedroom 1: work-out room.
Bedroom 2: craft room / home office. Currently, a total disaster. The chaos in this room directly correlates to the chaos in my life right now. Ughh, we’re moving in two months, so I have to clean all of this up. And then pack it away.
Bedroom 3: London-themed guest room.
Bedroom 4: empty / storage. This is the former gym and in need of a good steam cleaning.
