3. Create eleven new questions for the chosen bloggers.
4. Go back to their page and tell them about the award.
5. Each blogger should post eleven random facts about themselves.
6. No Tag Backs!!!
Eleven facts:
1. I own an inordinately large number of cookbooks. However, I do not cook using the cookbooks.
2. I have a bizarre obsession with shows about large families. Jon & Kate + 8? Yep. 19 Kids and Counting? Every episode. But I don’t want to have a lot of kids.
3. I’ve played piano since age 6. Someday (when we settle down with this Army moving), I will retrieve my piano from my parents. It’s a 1923 Chickering apartment grand piano. Yes, it was made in 1923 as in 90 years ago. My great-grandfather came by it in a legal business deal.
4. I once claimed to read 13,000 pages during a semester in fifth grade. While I did actually read Gone With the Wind (which is 1000 pages), I lied. I am extremely competitive and wanted to win.
5. I own six copies of Titanic: the original and special edition of the VHS, DVD, and Blu-Ray. My husband asked me this morning if I wanted to get rid of some of them. No.
6. I’m a carb-o-holic. The biggest reason I eat at KFC or Bojangles is for the mashed potatoes and biscuits. Ina Garten is currently making mashed potatoes. I want them but without the truffle butter.
7. I’ve only ever travelled to English-speaking countries (Canada, England, Ireland, and the Bahamas).
8. Between the two, Mac’s car and mine have almost 350,000 miles on them. Mine has more at over 230,000.
9. The eight members of our immediate families (parents, siblings, and us) were born in eight different states.
10. I have a million pet peeves. These include people who don’t drive the speed limit, people who walk in the “exit” door and vice versa, and Food Network show hosts who know absolutely nothing about food (like Ina Garten or Alton Brown).
11. Growing up, I wanted to be a doctor from about third grade into college. Except in 2001: Legally Blonde came out (the screenplay was written by a sorority sister), and I watched a lot of JAG reruns which made me briefly entertain becoming a lawyer.
My parents. They’re pretty much the bomb.
And we find gems like the world’s largest buffalo in Jamestown, ND. |
Personality: apparently, I’m very warm and friendly.
Could reach 8 by the end of this year, could not if Mac drops a packet for a new job here.
