Wedding gift smorgasbord

I wrote most of our thank you notes the week after the honeymoon. I still have a few stragglers from gifts received after the wedding (like a wine.com gift card, yippee!). As I mentioned before, we received a fair number of gifts from our registry. Some of our family surprised us with some impressive homemade gifts.

My sister, MOH Leslie, mentioned that she wanted to recreate our favorite team logos. She and I discussed the idea to pick out the designs and colors. We kept the progress from Mac, so he was totally surprised. Leslie is extraordinarily talented, and her work did not disappoint.

Leslie’s BF made some joke about spitting on the Caps logo.
A fellow Braves fanatic, my cousin Kristin was super jealous.

Aunt Sue is also extremely crafty. She quilts, cross stitches, scrapbooks, the whole nine yards. Sue made a wedding quilt cross stitch: each block symbolizes a step in the wedding journey from engagement to newlyweds. She included our names and wedding date.

Now we just need to find wall space for all of these wonderful gifts. Any one else receive handmade wedding gifts?
