3 weeks and counting!

Last night, I had the honor of attending my sorority Little’s wedding. A great time was had by all, and I was beyond touched to watch her marry her best friend and true love. It made me all mushy gushy inside. I was able to set aside the constant swirl of wedding to-dos in my mind and concentrate on what this wedding was all about: Jeymie and Mike’s love for each other. My sorority sisters and I had a great time catching up and realizing how fast the two years since graduation have gone.

But now that we’re back home, wedding brain is back. And I’m starting to feel like this.

Last week I:
– Showed up a day early to my final DJ meeting
– Finalized the DJ and lighting
– Got caught in a monsoon leaving the DJ’s office
– Crafted a hair ribbon
– Burned myself repeatedly with my hot glue gun
– Had my hair trial
– Left my body shaper at home. Went back to get it. Realized I didn’t have my shoes. Had to turn around again. Remembered that I left my jewelry at home at the salon (I wanted to see them with my dress).
– Had my final dress fitting
– Cried because you can’t suck in fat back
– Picked up my dress!!!!
– Finished our pre-marital counseling
– Scheduled meetings with our caterer and coordinator
– Had a status update chat with the venue
– Decided to print out personalized menus for all our guests
– Finalized our menu design
– Designed our welcome cards and timeline
– Calculated that we still hadn’t heard from 37 guests (really, y’all????)

This week I will:
– Work out everyday
– Acknowledge my addiction to Dr Pepper
– Not seek treatment for said addiction
– Print out our welcome cards (doing this now, boom double tasking)
– Finish the THREE liberry books I checked out on election day (I vote at the liberry down the road) that are now due next week
– Meet with our caterer
– Meet with our coordinator
– Call our venue to confirm numbers and table layouts
– Start assembling our welcome bags
– Have a nervous breakdown
– Track down any remaining guests (I’ma start threatening at this stage in the game)
– Come up with a seating chart
– Craft place cards
– Assemble table numbers
– Stress eat then stress about the general planetary size of my ass these days
– Attempt to convince Joey to landscape the house
