I have the unusual but awesome opportunity to live in the great state of Colorado twice. More unusual because the first time I lived here, I was an Air Force brat, and my second time is as an Army wife. When people ask me where I grew up, I tend to say Colorado if only because I lived here the longest. Now that I’m back, I’m inevitably comparing my first six years here to our probable three years. I moved here when I was about two, so my memory isn’t the most accurate. I grew up loving mountains, the bluest skies, being outdoors, and wide open spaces. I actually never learned to ski when we were here. The constant drone of Air Force planes is about as natural sounding to me as birds chirping. I know we probably won’t live in Colorado for six years like last time, but I plan to enjoy it while I’m here (and drag Mac along to all the things I did when I was a kid).
