1. I say “finally” because Mac hasn’t had a weekend since Easter. He spent two solid weeks in the field, came home Monday night, and had to be back at work at 8 am on Tuesday. 2. Because Mac is gone so much, I can adjust to him being home or not pretty quickly. Monday night, I zoned out watching TV. I rolled over to go to sleep and was… View Post »
The vicious cycle of naps
I’m in one of those ruts where I haven’t been sleeping well. One night, I can’t fall asleep but wake up at my normal time which spirals into the better part of a week spent like a zombie. The downside of being tired is that you fall asleep easily when you don’t want to sleep which results in more staying up late because you can’t fall asleep. You follow? I’ve… View Post »
Lilly for Target
If you went anywhere near social media yesterday, you probably heard about the Lilly for Target craziness. Personally, I like Lilly Pulitzer’s stuff, but I’m not obsessed. Remembering April 16th

The lovely Kate from A Thought and A Half texted me yesterday to ask about writing about April 16th. I’m glad she asked me because I really hadn’t written anything for this year’s post. The… View Post »
Life lately
I rewatched seasons 1-4 of Game of Thrones, meaning I watched as many hours of TV in a week as people work. The Rains of Castamere is on repeat in my head. I replaced the screen protector on my phone with a tempered glass one. It is glorious, and everyone should buy one today. I’ve been super lazy on the food front and have been buying pre-made salads from Trader Joe’s… View Post »
