So Purrburger isn’t a true hypochondriac, but she is rather sickly. In the first three months we had her, she had a double ear infection and a bout of worms. Because of this, we decided to buy Burger a health insurance policy at Banfield. She was due for a rabies shot and her bi-annual checkup, so we took her in last week. Moonlight on the Mountain
I think I mentioned that Mac and I are members of our local zoo. Thursday night, the zoo hosted a fundraiser called Moonlight on the Mountain. A bunch of local restaurants and breweries set up sample tents around the zoo campus, and this event was mercifully 21 and over only. No kids at the zoo might be the best thing event. Influenster L’Oreal Ultimate Straight VoxBox
I recently received the L’Oreal Ultimate Straight VoxBox from Influenster. While I received this product for free, all opinions are my own. L’Oreal was kind enough to send me FOUR full-sized products for testing (which I will be taking with us on vacation). Cat mom fail
Yesterday afternoon, I realized that this was around the time we adopted Purrburger. A quick check of my saved photos showed that I completely missed her “gotcha” day. She was about a year old when we adopted her, so we also celebrate it as her birthday. We love you, Purrburger. Thank you for making our lives a little louder and crazier.
Go outside

Now that the soggiest 6 weeks in recent memory are past us, we’re starting to have warm, sunny weather just in time for summer. Mac has a few random days off in the next weeks, so we’re looking at things to do…. View Post »
My freezer meal experience
I mentioned last week that I was going to make some freezer meals, and I finally got around to it yesterday. When it happened to be 90 degrees and sunny. I’m a great planner. I planned five meals: baked ziti, enchiladas, manicotti, lasagna rolls, and stuffed shells. Mac loves pasta, so I made dishes that he would eat if he’s on his own for dinner. I found these different shaped… View Post »
