Our guest bath has non-stick treads in the tub. As anyone with these knows, the treads are absolutely impossible to keep clean. Pikes Peak Cog Railway
Currently, the Pikes Peak Cog Railway is closed until 2021 for renovations. We decided to take the Pikes Peak Cog Railway while the in-laws were here. The advance tickets sold out, so we got to the ticket office at 7 am for the 8 am train. The ride is about one hour each way, and you spend about 45 minutes at the summit. Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument
While my in-laws were in town, we stopped at the Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument before we went to Cripple Creek. It preserves a grouping of fossilized redwood trees and other (mainly insect) fossils after a volcanic eruption resulted in a the formation of an ancient lake.
