Colorado is one of those states that has a lot of unique things to do. One of the most unique is the Calhan Paint Mines, a natural geological formation carved by erosion sit about 45 minutes east of Colorado Springs. The Paint Mines are an El Paso County park and are free. The rocks have really cool formations and colors, and Pikes Peak looms along the horizon. Years of erosion… View Post »
Packing for a sorority convention
I attended my first ever Alpha Gamma Delta Convention a few weeks ago. Being the planner / over-analyzer that I am, I over-planned on what to pack. We had three business sessions and an Alpha Gam day (where we wear red, buff, and green). We also needed a white dress for Initiation / Ritual things and a formal dress for our banquet. Alpha Gamma Delta Convention
I had the honor of attending Alpha Gamma Delta’s biennium Convention in Orlando last month. In my volunteer role with Alpha Gam, I am required to go, and this was the first time I was actually able to go. I am… View Post »
4th wedding anniversary inspiration

We celebrate our December anniversary by going to Chili’s (where we went after the ceremony) and our June anniversary with the “traditional” gifts. Year 4 is super confusing. In my research, I’ve seen flowers and fruit as the traditional gifts and linen or… View Post »
New unit = new dress
Mac started a new job in a new unit last month. Much to our surprise, the new unit already had a ball on the calendar two weeks after he showed up, and I realized that I’ve been wearing my current ball gown since 2012. I didn’t have enough time to find a new dress (slash I wasn’t looking that seriously) before the ball, but seeing another wife in the same… View Post »
