Wedding venues in Fayetteville

After we decided to have a local-to-us wedding, I started researching wedding venues in Fayetteville. Luckily for us, Fayetteville has a wide assortment of potential wedding venues. I knew that I didn’t want a copy-and-paste country club or hotel ballroom wedding. While researching venues, I did include some of the local country clubs and hotels to compare costs across town. I quickly narrowed our choices down to Fox Hollow Gardens, the Cape Fear Botanical Garden, and the Fort Bragg Club. They just had more of what I personally wanted in a wedding venue and would allow us to have both the ceremony and reception in one location.

Fox Hollow Gardens

A private home, Fox Hollow Gardens hosts all kinds of events on their property. The owners modeled the Tudor-inspired residence and grounds after traditional European and English country estates. I’m kind of obsessed with Tudor England and decided if we were getting married in Fayetteville, this would be our venue.

Things to consider: the events are hosted outside. Depending on the time of year (our wedding was in June), you will be outside and subject to North Carolina weather. You will also need to include the costs of creating an indoor space outside into your wedding budget.

Cape Fear Botanical Garden

The Cape Fear Botanical Garden sits along the Cape Fear River and features several gardens with stunning Southern flora and fauna. The Botanical Garden just opened a huge visitor’s center with several rooms designed for weddings and other large events.

Things to consider: Depending on what spaces you want to use, the Cape Fear Botanical Garden will probably be the most expensive of the wedding venues in Fayetteville you consider.

Fort Bragg Club

Previously known as the Officers’ Club, the Fort Bragg Club is a formal club with different rooms and spaces available for use. Overall, it’s a great venue with large ballrooms and in-house catering.

Things to consider: This is a military club on a military installation. You and your guests need access (or to be able to get access) to Fort Bragg. It also has very traditional decor.
