Sweets for the sweet

Or, gifting my gals.

One Southern tradition I wanted to keep alive in my bridal party was the overuse of monograms. Monogram all the things! In another round of six degrees of Lisa, my freshman roomie’s BFF (she lived down the hall from us) pinned a cute tote from Tiny Tulip. My eagle eyes spotted the monogram and followed the link. Cue monogram, prep, frat, happiness overload. If my bank account would allow, I would probs buy half this damn site.

But I digress. I had seen some cute totes on The Knot’s shop but didn’t fall in lurv with anything. Tiny Tulip looked to have more promising options. I quickly spied this little treat. Monogrammed seersucker tote? Be still my beating heart. Sold. Three for them and one for me. I chose color combos that would fit their tastes and / or current luggage selection. For Jessica and Ashley, I used the standard script font. For my lovely sister and MOH, I chose the Lily font. Why I’m going to pretend you asked? Her nickname through middle and high school was Lily. I thought it was a cute touch.

I’m using our sororities for the jewelry. I came across these darling necklaces from Acorn Heaven last summer. Since Jessica, Ashley, and I are Alpha Gams, an acorn with pearl is a subtle nod to our jewel and to Skirious, our mascot. Yes, I spelled that right. Leslie is a Pi Phi, so I found this darling angel wing for her. While Pi Phi’s jewel is not a pearl, I liked the continuity of all our necklaces having a single pearl.

Sadly, my bridesmaids’ gifts will not approach the level of Miss Turkey’s. I blame my young age and meager funds. My girls loved their gifts! What did y’all give your bridal party?
