What is your favorite city that you’ve visited?
US – Definitely Washington, DC. Not northern Virginia, the actual District of Columbia. Being in our nation’s capital and seeing the monuments, memorials, and museums makes me so proud to be American.
International – London. I’m slightly obsessed.
Vanilla or chocolate?
Chocolate? I like them both, but I prefer vanilla ice cream.
Christmas Eve or Christmas Day (or Hanukkah or Kwanzaa)?
I love going to church on Christmas Eve. I feel such a sense of peace. I enjoy Christmas Day (though I’m not big on gift giving) because I get to see my family.
Who do you look up to most in your life?
Probably my parents. I took for granted and never really appreciated everything they’ve done for me and my sister. They sent us to one of the best private schools in Alabama, summer camps, band trips, and supported our decisions (even though they weren’t happy about mine) in college.
Do you believe in fate or mere coincidence?
Fate in the context of God’s plan for our lives. I believe that He guides our lives, and everything we do fits into His plan.
What is your favorite season?
Spring, summer, and fall. I don’t like winter because I don’t like being cold. September is my favorite month. It has baseball, football, and my birthday.
If you weren’t pursuing your current career or studied what you had, what would you be or have studied?
I was actually studying Human Nutrition, Foods, and Exercise before I was politely asked to change majors after failing (like got an F) in organic chemistry. I still would like to go back, finish that program, and become a registered dietitian (RD). I really wanted to be a sports nutritionist working with a professional team or college.
What is your biggest pet peeve that guys (be it your significant other/ family member/friend) do?
I really don’t have pet peeves for men. Mac has a few habits that drive me batty, but men collectively don’t annoy me.
Day filled with sports or a day at the spa?
Sports, sports, sports. My favorite weekends have Braves baseball, Hokies football, and Broncos football.
What do you think your greatest attribute is?
Well, that’s an awkward question to answer. How awesome am I? I would have to say my greatest attribute would be my charming and witty (if not wholly inappropriate) sense of humor. Most people tell me I have a very warm, kind personality. Clearly, they don’t know me that well, but thanks for the vote of confidence.
What is your favorite book?
The Other Boleyn Girl. I had always been interested in Tudor history and received this as a Christmas present in ninth grade. It really piqued my interest in the Tudors and pushed me to start researching and learning more about them.
