25for25: June

And we’re halfway through the year, only 3 months left until my birthday.

In honor of my 25th birthday this year (umm, what?), I’ve decided against traditional new year’s resolutions and am hopping on the 25 for 25 bandwagon. Basically, 25 goals I want to accomplish by my 25th birthday on September 18.

1. Be a better Christian: attend church regularly, finish The Purpose Driven Life, read the Bible.
We’ll be attending an Anglican church here in Augusta starting Sunday.

2. Lose 25 pounds and keep it off.
Ughh, no. But we do have a workout room in our complex, and I’ve already looked up the gym class schedule at Fort Gordon.

3. Read 25 new books (I’ll give myself until the end of the year for this one).
On 16 or 17? I haven’t been reading as much these past few weeks.

4. Move at least once (possibly twice!).
Packing today, moving tomorrow!

5. Visit somewhere I’ve never been before.
Savannah (technically I’d been there overnight) and Charleston last week.

6. Start graduate school. Virginia Tech has made this attempt quite dramatic already.
Finished two classes in spring semester and will be taking two more in the fall.

7. Organize our house and get us in better shape to move.
We’re moving, we’re moving! Still not as organized as I’d like to be, haha.

8. Grow my blog to a point where it can make me some monies.
Need to post my first sponsored post!

9. Celebrate our first wedding anniversary on June 9.
Done 🙂

10. Figure out our budget, stick to it, and pay off some of my loans.
I’ve been making extra payments each month. But we can always improve on our spending habits.

11. Complete an organized run (at least a 5K).
I’m planning on running one in September.

12. Work out 3 days a week.
Yeah, no. But I’m hoping to go workout classes on Gordon at least three times a week and use our gym the other days.

13. Cook a new recipe at least once a week.
This one went by the wayside while trying to use up food in the house. I’ll get back with it in the next week or so.

14. Try out all of the kitchen gadgets we received as wedding gifts. A good many of them are still in their boxes in our garage. Whoops.
We’re going to arrange our pantry to have the appliances in that, so I’ll starting using them.

15. Watch our Hokies play
August 31 at 5:30 pm EST.

16. Hike part of the Appalachian Trail.

17. Design a Hokie room in our next house.
You’ll get the apartment grand tour once our household goods are delivered and unpacked.

18. Actually finish a blog project I start for myself.
Doing purty good on this one. Have some moving guest posters and need to coordinate those.

19. Learn how to properly apply eyeliner.

20. Do some pins from Pinterest.

21. Host link-up parties on my blog.

22. Be pen pals with my college friends.

23. Make new friends.

24. Keep the house and garage clean.
Our apartment is almost 1000 square feet smaller than our house, so this will become necessary.

25. Enjoy turning 25!
