Weekend warriors

We had another exciting weekend of house updates. I despise white vinyl vertical blinds, so we replaced them with tan bamboo panels. These are a bit sheer, and we have no privacy in between our homes. We decided to get blackout curtains and found maroon-ish ones on clearance at Bed, Bath, & Beyond to mimic the tan and red curtains in the family room. After two days, I love them. They look great open or closed, and the curtains make the room more comfortable. Penney’s was having another sale, so I ordered a second set for the basement.

We also continued the blinds switch. I’m hoping we get them done before the batch of backordered ones arrive. Mac put together a few shelves and organized the garage. One is our seasonal décor, and one is Mac’s Army gear. We’re just one trash day away from being able to park two cars in our garage. And to think 5 and 6 years ago, I was day drinking on a beach during spring break.
