Birthday months are a real thing

It’s September. But it doesn’t feel like the first because college football has already started. And I’m not really digging college football in August. I love September. It’s by far my favorite month of the year because it involves the annual celebration of me. I also really enjoy the baseball / hot days but cooler nights / football thing that happens, too. Back in elementary school, kids with September birthdays always got to start the school year off with a birthday party. I spent 6 birthdays in Blacksburg, 4 in college and 2 after.  Last year, Mac got home from work really late, was already in a bad mood, then complained about our plans to go out to dinner. He’s a real treat. I have absolutely no idea what we’re doing this year for my birthday. We shall see.
