Ummm, what happened to September? I’m fairly certain I just wrote that Life Lately post.
- My birthday breezed by. I had to work an event in central Missouri, so we ordered take out when we got home. The older I get, the more low-key birthdays seem to get. I was also able to make it to the Braves game in Kansas City as a belated birthday treat.
- It’s funny how quickly time flies when you travel for work. I don’t travel every day, but I’ve been out of the office at least twice a week since the first week of September. And I’m already through 10 or so of my fairs and events for the fall. It can make getting stuff done in the office a bit more challenging. We’ll see if October goes by as quickly.
- Fall finally arrived in Kansas yesterday. After a few days of highs in the upper 80s, we dropped down to not even 60. The windows are open, and I’m soaking in the chilly temperatures in the house. And the cooler temperatures also bring soup season. I’m making chili for dinner (and will be reshooting those photos).
- Time for the monthly Oreo and M&M update! I found the maple Creme Oreos and grabbed a package. Overall, they’re not bad. They’re golden Oreo cookies with maple filling. The filling isn’t too sweet, but it does have that maple extract flavor (which is a bit stronger than real maple syrup to me). A solid option if you’re looking for a festive fall cookie.
How is your October going so far?

September did fly by, but I’m okay with that. It was too hot. We woke up to temps in the 50s this morning š
